Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations. Hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday :
8-4, Wednesday 8-2, Friday 8-12 Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures Assist dentists during a wide range of treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to radiation safety protocols Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy Maintain strict infection prevention standards through proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient management software Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting or working within a dental clinic environment Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and clinical procedures including dental sterilization and infection control protocols Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is a plus Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff Strong understanding of medical documentation, medical records management, and healthcare infection prevention practices Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and oral surgery procedures is preferred Certification in dental assisting or related field is highly desirable; ongoing training in medical imaging or advanced dental techniques is encouraged Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and technical excellence.
