Job Summary Looking to add to our team of exceptional pediatric dental assistants. Looking for an individual who enjoys working with children and who can be a great team player within our fun, fast paced pediatric dental practice. Duties Assist the pediatric dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, X-rays, restorative treatments, and extractions Prepare treatment rooms by cleaning/sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety Manage patient records accurately and confidentially Educate pediatric patients and teens on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive dentistry measures Communicate and interact with pediatric and teen patients during any down time of the appointment Support dental sterilization procedures and follow infection control guidelines for all dental instruments and equipment Assist with tasks such as charting, medical documentation, and coordinating patient flow in a friendly manner Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with valid permit - pediatric experience is preferred but not required Must have coronal polishing, dental x-ray, and nitrous oxide certificates Sealant certificate encouraged, but not required Excellent communication skills with both patients and team

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 32.0 per week
