Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will provide support to the dentist and dental hygienists in delivering quality oral healthcare to our patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, knowledge of medical imaging and X-ray procedures, and a strong understanding of anatomy. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred. The Dental Assistant must also have knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control, and HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist and dental hygienists during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
  • Perform dental charting and record patient information accurately
  • Provide chairside assistance during procedures, ensuring patient comfort
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control protocols
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred
  • Dental receptionist experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of medical imaging and X-ray procedures
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and dental terminology
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is preferred
  • Proficient in aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
