Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1
- year dental assisting experience preferred
- X-ray certified required
- CPR certified required
- Willingness to assist in various areas of the practice as needed and a readiness to learn new procedures and innovative methods
- Prior knowledge of Open Dental is a plus, but not required, as the new team member will receive training before beginning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Assist in-office and hospital based sedation procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Assist with patient coordinator and administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
