Job Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Prosthodontist to assist in advanced dental procedures, particularly dental implant treatments Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, ensuring strict infection control standards Provide chair-side assistance during procedures, anticipate the dentist's needs, and keep the treatment area clear and organized Make patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit Take dental x-rays, process radiographs, and assist with radiographic imaging Prepare materials for impressions and restorations Educate patients on post-operative care and general oral hygiene Support the prosthetic team with inventory management, lab coordination, and recordkeeping Perform office tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments, receiving patients, maintaining records, and ordering supplies Collaborate with other clinical staff, including oral surgeons, hygienists, and Patient Education Consultants to ensure exceptional care Assist in specialized areas such as oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics
Requirements:
Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements 2+ years of previous experience in a dental assisting role Prior experience with dental implants or prosthodontics is highly desirable Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle dental instruments with precision Ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and patient care skills Comfortable with radiographic equipment and digital dental technology
