Overview Modern, busy multi-specialty Dental practice with PENN trained experienced Dentists right outside Doylestown PA looking for entry level Hygiene assistant / Sterilization technition to help support our busy hygienist and Doctors with sterilization/room clean up and set ups, and learn a lot about Dentistry and dental hygiene in the process. No Assisting or X ray qualifications needed.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Dental Hygiene Assistant / Sterilization Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This entry-level position offers comprehensive on-the-job training, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in dentistry. The role involves supporting clinical operations, ensuring sterilization protocols are meticulously followed, and assisting dental professionals in delivering exceptional patient care. Candidates will gain valuable experience working with dental equipment, patient management software, and infection control procedures within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Assist dental hygienists and dentists during patient procedures, including chairside support and instrument handing. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Follow strict aseptic techniques to maintain clinical cleanliness and adhere to infection control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations. Manage sterilization processes using dental sterilization procedures, ensuring all instruments are properly cleaned, packaged, and stored for safe use. Support patient management activities by updating medical records in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Take vital signs and assist with patient intake to facilitate smooth clinical flow and enhance patient comfort. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical documentation practices to support clinical team needs effectively. Participate in ongoing training on dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging, and the operation of dental equipment including 3D scanners. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required as training will be provided. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a healthcare environment. Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic for medical records management is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion for patients. Willingness to learn new skills related to pediatric dentistry, oral surgery assistance, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
