Job Description

Join Our Dynamic Dental Team! We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and patient-focused Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our established practice. If you are passionate about providing high-quality restorative care and utilizing your full scope of practice, we want to hear from you! About the Role The EFDA is a critical member of our clinical team, working directly with the dentist to provide efficient and excellent patient care. This role involves performing a range of advanced procedures authorized under state-specific regulations and ensuring smooth clinical operations.
Primary Responsibilities Placing and Finishing Restorations:
Expertly placing, carving, contouring, and finishing amalgam and composite (resin) fillings after the dentist completes the tooth preparation.
Provisional Restorations:
Fabricating and cementing temporary crowns and bridges.
Preventive Care:
Applying dental sealants and topical fluoride treatments.
Support Tasks:
Taking highly accurate final and preliminary impressions, and managing digital X-rays and intraoral images.
Assisting:
Performing all standard dental assisting duties (e.g., suction, instrument transfer, retraction), ensuring strict infection control protocols , and maintaining accurate electronic charting .
Patient Education:
Providing clear and compassionate pre- and post-operative instructions to patients.
Qualifications Certification:
Current and unrestricted Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) license/certification in the state of PA.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience as an EFDA is highly valued.
Compliance:
Up-to-date CPR certification and Radiography certification .
Skills:
Exceptional dexterity , attention to detail, strong clinical judgment, and excellent patient communication skills.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour
