Take dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging using 3D scanners when applicable, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records by updating medical histories, documenting procedures in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, Curve and ensuring accurate medical documentation. Provide comprehensive support as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control standards, including proper disposal of contaminated materials and sterilization of instruments. Support the team with administrative tasks related to medical coding, billing, and updating medical records as needed for comprehensive healthcare documentation. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental procedures across general dentistry disciplines including prosthodontics and endodontics. Experience with dental radiography techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency during procedures. Ability to perform vital signs measurement and maintain infection control standards using aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, along with effective coordination with the dental team.
