This role combines front-office responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring a seamless patient experience from appointment scheduling to chairside assistance. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining clinical excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a supportive environment dedicated to promoting oral health and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software. Handle all administrative tasks including answering phones, managing medical records, and processing dental insurance claims. Assist the dentist during clinical procedures by preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, passing instruments efficiently (four-handed dentistry), and ensuring clinical areas are clean and organized. Take and develop dental x-rays, including intraoral images and 3D scans, adhering to infection prevention protocols and aseptic techniques. Manage patient flow by taking vital signs, medical history updates, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies when handling medical documentation and records. Support infection control procedures by sterilizing equipment, managing dental sterilization procedures, and following all healthcare infection prevention standards. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management software. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, general dentistry procedures, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilizers, and medical imaging devices. Ability to perform chairside assisting with competence in four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with infection prevention management and healthcare infection control practices. Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and team collaboration. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures and medical terminology for accurate documentation.
