Overview Join Our Team:
Full-Time Orthodontic Assistant Are you passionate about creating beautiful smiles and providing top-notch patient care? Our orthodontic practice is looking for a dedicated, energetic, and detail-oriented Full-Time Orthodontic Assistant to join our clinical family! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love seeing the transformation in a patient's confidence, we want to meet you.
What You'll Do Clinical Support:
Assist the Orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures, including bonding, debanding, and adjustments.
Patient Care:
Prepare patients for treatments, explain procedures, and provide clear oral hygiene instructions. You will be working on patients with placing brackets for the doctor to check, placing archwires, performing digital scans, taking x-rays, and updating patients/parents.
Technical Tasks:
Take high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs. Placing brackets, removing brackets, placing clear aligner attachments, placing detailed wires and ties, and giving instructions for elastic wear.
Lab Work:
Create Essix retainers, 3D Printed retainers, pour models, make in-house aligner cases, and manage sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Coordination:
Maintain accurate electronic patient records and keep the clinical area stocked and organized.
What We're Looking For Experience:
Previous orthodontic experience is preferred (but we are willing to train the right person with a stellar attitude!).
Certification:
X-ray certification is required, but you can work while you strive to achieve it.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, manual dexterity, and a tech-savvy approach to digital workflow.
Personality:
A team player who is punctual, professional, and has a "patient-first" mentality.
