Dental Assistant Dent Med-Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26005637) Job Summary Performs chairside dental assisting and radiography. Guides patients through visits and treatments, ensures charts are complete and necessary information is collected, and coordinates patient flow. Ensures infection control in operatories and with instruments. Maintains supplies. Essential Functions The position will perform the following orthodontic/dental assistant functions: chairside assistance to residents; maintain an aseptic environment; follow OSHA, HIPAA and infection control guidelines; maintain and dispense inventory and instrument cassettes; maintain patient records; assist in ordering supplies and miscellaneous clerical duties. Physical Effort Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
