Job Description

Job Overview Duties Assist Endodontists during procedures including root canal, retreatment and apicoectomy, with compassion, precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly according to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety standards Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA policies Perform chairside assisting tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with medical imaging, and providing support during procedures Maintain clinical confidentiality policies by safeguarding patient information according to HIPAA regulations Support the dental reception area by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and answering patient inquiries with professionalism Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic is appreciated but not required. We hare happy to teach you ins and out of assisting in Endodontics. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices to ensure accurate documentation and billing Proficiency in using dental software for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of infection control protocols including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection prevention standards Hands-on experience with dental instrument processing, dental x-ray and CBCT (3D scans) Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate within a team practicing four-handed dentistry techniques Certification or training in X-ray safety, infection prevention management, or pediatric dentistry is a plus
Pay:
$15.00 - $21.00 per hour
