Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Under the supervision of a dentist, the EFDA will support daily clinical operations, assist with patient care, and ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Responsibilities Assist the dentist with patient care procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments. Support the delivery of quality dental services by preparing materials and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs as directed by the supervising dentist. Provide patient comfort and education, explaining procedures and post-treatment instructions clearly. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with practice protocols. Ensure infection control standards are upheld throughout all clinical activities. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize efficiency. Support administrative tasks as needed, including billing and inventory management. Skills Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Attention to detail in clinical procedures, sterilization, and record keeping. Basic knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and radiography techniques. Flexibility and adaptability to assist with various clinical tasks as required. Pay:
