Chester County Oral Surgery & Dental Implants is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our oral surgeons in delivering advanced implant and surgical care. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, setting up and sterilizing instruments, assisting chairside for oral surgery and implant procedures, taking digital radiographs, updating patient records, and providing pre- and post-operative instructions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based specialty practice focused on patient comfort and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Sterilize and set up instruments and surgical trays for oral surgery and implant procedures Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons during surgeries and implant placements Take and process digital radiographs and CBCT images as directed Review medical histories and update patient records accurately in practice software Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers Monitor patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures Manage inventory of clinical supplies and assist with ordering as needed Collaborate with surgeons, front-office staff, and clinical team to support efficient workflow Follow all infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards and practice protocols Required Skills Chairside dental assisting Surgical assisting for oral surgery and implants Dental instrument sterilization and infection control Digital dental radiography Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Four-handed dentistry techniques Patient communication and education Medical history review and documentation Inventory and supply management Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and universal precautions
