The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring that the dental office runs smoothly. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient treatments. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Manage patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area and sterilization of instruments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Utilize electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for managing patient information. Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is essential. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical records management. Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding medical imaging processes. Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and anatomy. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is a plus.
