Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care while supporting the clinical operations of our busy dental practice. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and patient management will ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment for all patients. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and equipment ensuring proper sterilization and infection prevention protocols are followed. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental instruments, maintaining aseptic techniques, and supporting four-handed dentistry practices. Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote optimal dental hygiene. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history accurately in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Requirements Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current state licensure or registration. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry or specialty practice such as pediatric dentistry or oral surgery. Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures. Hands-on experience with dental X-ray procedures, sterilization protocols, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques. Strong understanding of dental equipment operation including 3D scanners, medical imaging devices, and dental instruments processing. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
