This role involves supporting the training and mentorship of dental assistants, leveraging your hands-on experience in dental assisting and education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, with the ability to effectively communicate technical skills and best practices to aspiring dental professionals. Certification in Radiography is preferred but not mandatory, and current credentials such as RDA and CPR are required. Responsibilities Assist in developing and delivering educational content for dental assistant training programs. Provide hands-on supervision and mentorship to dental assistants during their practical training sessions. Share expertise on clinical procedures, infection control, patient management, and other essential skills for dental assistants. Support the assessment of student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning. Ensure compliance with safety standards, including CPR certification requirements. Collaborate with program coordinators to enhance curriculum quality and training effectiveness. Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment for students. Qualifications Dental Assistant with at least two years of clinical experience or experience in educating dental assistants on the job. Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license required. CPR certification is mandatory. X-ray certification is preferred but not a requirement. Strong communication skills with the ability to instruct and motivate students effectively. Demonstrated knowledge of dental assisting procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards. Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility to accommodate training schedules including Saturday.
