Dental Assistant

Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant. You'll work directly with the dentist and/or hygienists assisting with all general dentistry and/or recall procedures while keeping patients comfortable and at ease. You will help maintain the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence in every aspect of care. Duties Assist the dentist during a wide variety of procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by preparing treatment areas and providing necessary instruments Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records in Eaglesoft, and verifying vital signs prior to treatment Operate dental equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners, while strictly following infection prevention protocols and aseptic techniques Process, sterilize, and prepare dental instruments to meet rigorous infection control standards Capture high-quality dental X-rays and imaging while maintaining full compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Support administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing documentation, accurate procedure coding, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by consistently following infection control and safety protocols Qualifications Proven experience as a dental assistant in a busy clinical setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Familiarity with EMR/electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft or similar) Current certification in dental radiography (x-ray) required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery are a plus Excellent working knowledge of dental equipment operation, instrument sterilization, and infection prevention protocols Skilled in chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques while delivering compassionate patient care Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation standards, and medical records management Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment focused on outstanding patient care Join us today to be part of an energetic team committed to transforming smiles while advancing your career in a supportive environment that values your skills and dedication!
Pay:
$29,120.00 - $48,000.00 per year
