Job Description

Gower Family Dentistry in Beaufort, SC is seeking a full time Dental Assistant to join our team! We are a privately owned, family oriented, one doctor office looking for the right assistant with a kind heart and positive attitude. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting Dr. Jessica Gower and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for dental care and a desire to contribute to the oral health of our patients. This 4-day work week opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others and patient interaction while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Job Type:
Full-time Competitive Hourly Pay ( 36 hours per week) Monthly Production Bonus (average is $ 500 /mth) Health Insurance Available 2 Weeks Vacation in Year 1 6 Paid Holidays 401k
Matching Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 8-5 (36 hours per week)
Duties:
  • Assist dentists during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Prepare materials for impressions (digital) and restorations
  • Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
  • Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed Preferred requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role
  • Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, including sterilization techniques, instrument handling, and infection control protocols
  • Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
  • Proficiency in taking digital x-rays and operating dental imaging equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

$24.00
