Job Description

Job Summary South Carolina Oral Surgery & Implant Center, formerly Northeast Oral Surgery & Implant Center, is looking for a Dental Assistant who wants to build a career in oral surgery. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous oral surgery experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person. Experience is valuable, but we also recognize work ethic, dependability, initiative, and a willingness to learn. If you have the right attitude and want an opportunity to develop your clinical and surgical skills, we want to hear from you. This position will work between our Northeast Columbia and Camden locations , and candidates must be available to work at either office as needed. What You'll Learn & Do Assist with oral surgery procedures Prepare and turn over surgical rooms Learn surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures Assist with extractions and wisdom teeth procedures Gain experience with dental implants and bone grafting Learn IV sedation/general anesthesia assisting and patient monitoring Obtain patient health histories and vital signs Take dental X-rays and assist with digital/3D imaging Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care Sterilize instruments and maintain infection-control standards Keep surgical rooms stocked, clean, and ready Work closely with our doctors and experienced clinical team What We're Looking For Dental assisting education or experience preferred New dental assisting graduates are welcome No oral surgery experience required Dependable and ready to work Willing to learn and accept feedback Takes initiative and works well as part of a team Professional and compassionate with patients Comfortable in a surgical environment Dental X-ray certification preferred CPR/BLS certification preferred Must be available to work at both our Northeast Columbia and Camden locations as needed Why Oral Surgery? You will have the opportunity to learn oral surgery, IV sedation, dental implants, bone grafting, surgical extractions, advanced imaging, and surgical patient care while working alongside an experienced clinical team. Pay:
Up to $19.00 per hour
