Job Description

Davis and Dingle Family Dentistry is a well-established and dynamic practice that has been proudly serving Columbia and the surrounding areas for over 25 years. We are seeking an exceptional Expanded Duty Dental Assistant to join our tight-knit team. Responsibilities & Duties Prepare treatment and hygiene rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are set up, sterilized, and ready for patient care. Assist the dentist chairside with a variety of procedures, including restorative and specialty treatments, while delivering outstanding patient support. Provide direct support to the hygienist, including seating patients, taking radiographs, assisting with periodontal charting, polishing, applying fluoride and sealants (as permitted), and ensuring efficient room turnover. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records with proper digital charting and documentation for each patient visit. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care to support long-term health. Manage supplies and ensure operatories remain fully stocked, clean, and compliant with infection-control protocols. Contribute to a patient-focused, collaborative, and professional team environment. Qualifications Associate degree, or high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of dental assisting experience. Familiarity with digital charting systems.
