In this role, you will support orthodontists by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Dental experience is preferred. However, we are willing to train candidates that have enthusiasm and attention to detail. Duties Assist orthodontists during various procedures including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and confidence Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for use in accordance with infection prevention management policies Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when necessary, while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Manage patient records Educate patients on orthodontic care routines Assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and effective care delivery Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably with orthodontic or pediatric dentistry background Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation including X-ray machines and 3D scanners Strong understanding of infection control protocols, dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and coordinate with the dental team Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training; additional pediatric dentistry or orthodontic certifications are desirable
Pay:
$25.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
