Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, where your expertise will help create beautiful smiles and improve patient confidence! Duties Assist orthodontists during various procedures including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and care. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices tailored for pediatric dentistry and general dentistry patients. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation when necessary to support overall health assessments during appointments. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment following infection control protocols and safety standards. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical procedures. Experience with dental imaging technologies including X-ray machines and 3D scanners used in orthodontics and general dentistry. Skilled in chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency during procedures. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Ability to communicate effectively with pediatric patients and their families, demonstrating patience and professionalism. Knowledge of medical coding and documentation for accurate billing and insurance processing related to dental assisting tasks. Spanish speaking would be ideal Willing to cross train and be versatile with employment duties having a team mentality whether it is helping to assist in treatment coordinating or front desk

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
