Are you a skilled EFDA looking for a practice that shares your holistic values? Our beautiful, state-of-the-art dental office takes a natural approach to dentistry—providing biological alternatives to modern treatments and focusing on the connection between oral and overall health. We're looking for a full-time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing team. About Us Our practice provides both general and pediatric dentistry, with a pediatric dentist in the office two days a week. We are a patient-centered, whole-body care. From amalgam and heavy metal removal to ozone therapy and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), our services go beyond traditional dentistry to promote long-term health and healing. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to rotate between both providers, gaining experience across a wide range of holistic procedures. What We're Looking For Current Expanded Functions certification (required) 1+ years of dental assisting experience ( experience in holistic or biological dentistry is a plus, but not required) Experience with Eaglesoft and Itero Scanner a plus! Responsibilities:
Provide a welcoming, soothing and customer service focused experience for patients. Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort. Take diagnostic x-rays using standard dental radiographic equipment. Assist the Dentist with a high level of partnership through four handed dentistry. Arrive prepared for each day and review patient charts for morning huddle. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures when needed. Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patient's chart. Manage lab cases and schedule patients as needed. Assist with other office duties as requested or needed.
Skills:
Proven experience as Dental Assistant
MUST HAVE 1+ YEARS EXPERIENCE.
Proof of EFDA License or Registered Dental Assistance certification. Open to cross training to support our teamwork focused office approach. Effective time management skills and able to support a steady flow in Dr's schedule. Able to be flexible and multi-task to meet the needs of a busy schedule. Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills. Welcoming and patient personality with an ability to build rapport with others easily. Great attention to detail and follow through. Dental terminology knowledge and ability to educate patients regarding procedures.
