The ideal candidate will provide exceptional support to our dental professionals by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience. This role is essential in maintaining efficient clinic operations, delivering high-quality dental care, and adhering to all safety and privacy regulations. The successful applicant will possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, clinical procedures, and electronic health record systems, contributing to the overall success of the practice. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Periodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry. Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates for patient assessment. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history and treatment details. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical coding for billing purposes and ensure proper documentation of procedures performed. Support the dental office team by performing front desk duties as a Dental Receptionist when needed. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards throughout all clinical activities. Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient care delivery. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus. Strong understanding of various dental specialties including Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and Periodontics. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation practices related to dental care. Proficiency in using dental software for scheduling, billing, and record management. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members from diverse backgrounds. Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Certification in Dental Assisting preferred; relevant experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environment is highly desirable.
