Overview Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry of Tennessee is looking for a compassionate, motivated Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused practice. Responsibilities Assist dentists with a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Take dental x-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Manage patient records using Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding. Perform vital signs assessments and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions with clarity and professionalism. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control policies and dental sterilization procedures. Skills Proficiency with dental software platforms like ,Eaglesoft for documentation, and billing. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Experience with dental x-ray techniques, medical imaging, and the operation of a 3D scanner. Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, dental instrument processing, and sterilization protocols. Skilled in chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry practices to improve workflow efficiency. Knowledge of healthcare infection control standards aligned with HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality and safety. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, providing compassionate care while explaining procedures clearly.
