Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist with a variety of clinical procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics using proper aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to dental sterilization procedures to maintain clinical hygiene standards. Take and develop dental x-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accuracy while adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Manage patient records and assist doctor in typing notes during examinations, using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft software while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Take vital signs and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care and ensure safety during procedures. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and providing pre- and post-treatment instructions with excellent patient care skills. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and deliver seamless patient experiences. Maintain clinical cleanliness by processing dental instruments, managing infection control protocols, and ensuring all dental equipment is properly maintained and sanitized. Assist with oral surgery procedures, prosthodontics fittings, endodontic treatments, and pediatric dentistry needs as directed by the dentist. Educate patients on oral health practices, dental terminology, and treatment plans to promote ongoing oral health maintenance. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for managing patient records efficiently. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and medical documentation standards. Hands-on experience with X-ray techniques, dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting during various dental procedures including oral surgery and endodontics. Excellent communication skills combined with a thorough understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control policies ensure optimal patient care delivery.
