Registered Dental Assistant Bee Cave, TX 78738 From $18 an hour - Full-time From $18 an hour - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and support the smooth operation of our dental practice. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure clinical excellence through adherence to infection control protocols. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery cases. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting dedicated to delivering exceptional dental care. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management standards. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, providing four-handed dentistry support for efficiency. Take and develop dental x-rays, including dental x-ray imaging and 3D scans, ensuring high-quality medical imaging for accurate diagnosis. Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Open dental while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA compliance. Perform vital signs assessment and document medical documentation accurately to support comprehensive patient management. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-operative instructions, and treatment plans while addressing their questions with professionalism and empathy. Support the dental reception process by managing appointment scheduling through patient management software and coordinating patient flow efficiently. Follow all infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures. Assist with medical coding for billing purposes when necessary, ensuring accurate documentation of procedures performed. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical role within a general dentistry or pediatric dentistry setting. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly preferred for seamless patient data management. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology is essential for effective communication and procedure support. Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanner technology. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards along with aseptic technique practices. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in various specialties like endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Excellent patient management skills with a focus on delivering compassionate care while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies.
