Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Registered Dental Assistant who is willing to learn and wants to expand their dental assisting skills. Our growing office is looking for a detail oriented, well rounded, and outgoing dental assistant. Someone with exceptional customer service, a strong work ethic, initiative, and professional demeanor. Having a positive mindset and being a team player is top priority for being a part of our dental team. Our team is dedicated to deliver outstanding customer service without compromise. We are committed to excellence and high standard of care as we strive to exceed patient's expectations. If you are someone with a great personality, who is self-motivated and dependable, then this is the place or you. Willing to train the right person. Compensation will be based on experience. This position is for a full time position to work both of our locations: Doniphan Family Dental and Anthony Smiles Dental, you must be willing to travel. These offices are 10 min apart. We are also willing to work with new students and non registers assistants.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Assist dental hygienist Setup and breakdown operatory post treatment Take dental radiographs (X-Rays) Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment Provide patients with instructions for oral care following all dental treatment procedures Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to main oral health Provide outstanding customer service for the patient, excellent chair side manner Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctors' schedule and patient flow; create no patient wait time; maintain time flexibility for patient; be present, engaged, ready to work at all assigned shift times Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance Follow organizations safety policies and procedures Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology sufficient to perform job successfully Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patients' chart Perform various office tasks as request or needed
Qualifications:
Registered Dental Assistant (Required) X-Ray Certification (Required) High School or Equivalent (Preferred)
Dental Assisting:
1 year (Preferred) Bilingual (Spanish) (Preferred)
