Office hours:
M-TH 7:00 AM- 4:00PM, 1 hour lunch break Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to safety protocols and radiation safety standards Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, maintaining a clear field of operation, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote overall dental health Maintain strict infection prevention management by following aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in medical imaging procedures to support comprehensive patient assessments Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling through patient management software and ensuring smooth patient flow Requirements Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current certification/license in accordance with local regulations Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry is preferred Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice Experience with dental x-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology Knowledge of infection control practices, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention standards Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics when necessary Ability to work collaboratively within a team practicing four-handed dentistry and supporting clinical operations Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding oral health care.
