In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care in a brand-new dental office. Your expertise will support general dentistry procedures, contributing to positive patient experiences and optimal clinical outcomes. As an RDA, you will play a vital role in maintaining infection control standards, managing medical documentation, and supporting the overall workflow of the dental practice. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed diligently Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools Manage patient records in Open Dental Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history to support comprehensive patient care Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas meet OSHA standards for safety and cleanliness Assist with medical documentation and coding related to dental procedures for accurate billing and record-keeping Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to promote ongoing wellness Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist—scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently Experience Dental Assistant with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice Hands-on experience with EMR system Open Dental Skilled in chairside assisting including four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency during procedures Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely while maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards Good understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical records management related to dental care Familiarity with advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and other imaging devices is advantageous Company Description Teeth Talk Dentistry in Katy, Texas is a trusted dental practice committed to providing exceptional oral healthcare services in a welcoming and patient-focused environment.
