Overview Join our dynamic Pediatric dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where we provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, kid-friendly environment. This vital role combines clinical proficiency with compassionate patient management, ensuring every individual receives top-quality dental treatment. As an RDA, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while maintaining efficient clinic operations. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of pediatric dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for use in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols and radiation safety standards. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient care and facilitate diagnosis. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies by securely handling medical documentation and respecting patient privacy at all times. Support the dental reception process by greeting patients, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and managing patient flow efficiently. Ensure all dental instruments are properly processed through sterilization procedures following infection control guidelines. Support chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing oral hygiene. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Dental Assistant in a busy pediatric dental clinic environment. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar practice management software. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and strict adherence to privacy standards related to medical records and patient information. Hands-on experience with dental X-ray technology, including taking intraoral and extraoral images safely and accurately. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry procedures including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Demonstrated competence in infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment. Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining high standards of infection control. Experience with pediatric dental sedation is a plus Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the dental team and compassionate patient interactions.
