Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during patient procedures and providing high-quality care to our patients. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work well in a team environment will contribute to the success of our dental practice.

Duties:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Take digital dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-operative instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information in Oryx or other dental software systems
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

Skills:

• Experience in scanning with an iTero/Trios
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols in a dental setting
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
• At least 12 months of experience assisting with various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, periodontal, implants, clear aligners, and oral surgery
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform basic patient assessments
• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques such as digital radiography, panoramic & CBCT imaging We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
