Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, patient care, and support the clinical operations of our dental practice. Your expertise will help ensure smooth patient flow, uphold the highest standards of infection control, and contribute to a positive dental experience for every patient. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry cases. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring adherence to dental x-ray safety standards and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, including updating medical history and treatment notes. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental procedures using appropriate dental terminology. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures in accordance with healthcare infection prevention policies. Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when required, including scheduling appointments and managing patient management software. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in the applicable region. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting. Familiarity with dental equipment such as 3D scanners, dental sterilization devices, and medical imaging tools. Experience using patient management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; knowledge of EMR systems is highly preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA standards. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining infection prevention standards; certification in dental x-ray is required if applicable. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, ensuring comfort and trust during visits.
