Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate is crossed trained in both front office duties and dental assisting. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience from scheduling appointments to assisting the dentists. A strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures is preferred, as well as familiarity with open dental software. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the reception area efficiently. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time. Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health records (EHR). Handle incoming calls. Assist in dental procedures. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Skills Proficiency in dental terminology. Familiarity with medical and dental coding for insurance processing. Experience in general dentistry procedures and protocols. Ability to perform basic X-Ray functions as needed. Understanding of vital signs monitoring is beneficial. Experience with 3D scanning technology is an advantage. Proficient in using Open Dental Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to dental care.
