Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry disciplines including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Experience with dental x-ray techniques, including dental x-ray equipment operation and radiation safety protocols. Familiarity with infection prevention management practices such as sterilization procedures and aseptic technique to ensure patient safety. Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for improved efficiency during procedures like endodontics or prosthodontics. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards specific to dental clinics; experience with medical coding is a plus.
