Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when necessary. Support various dental specialties including endodontics, pediatrics, general dentistry, and prosthodontics. Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Bilingual Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus. Knowledge of infection control procedures and medical imaging techniques. Ability to take accurate X-rays and manage patient records effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. A commitment to providing exceptional patient care with a friendly demeanor. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is desirable. Willingness to learn about various dental specialties including endodontics, pediatrics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry.
