Job Description
The University of Texas San Antonio, School of Dentistry Department of Periodontics, Division of Dental Hygiene The Department of Periodontics, Division of Dental Hygiene at the UT San Antonio School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a part-time dental hygiene faculty position for our Laredo Office. The position will focus on providing laboratory, clinical and didactic instruction for dental hygiene students.
Minimum qualifications are:
Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene and a Master's in a related field is required. Graduate of a CODA-approved dental hygiene program or Dental School. Must be a licensed registered dental hygienist with the state of Texas Six or more years of clinical experience Educational experience, preferred but not required Job responsibilities are: Designing and delivering instruction in clinical, laboratory, and didactic settings. Serving as a professional role model for students. Assist with the coordination of clinical activities and student schedules. Participate in departmental meetings, including faculty development. The position entails clinical and practical teaching and course administration and instruction. The department employs multiple teaching methods including case-based instruction, large-and small-group discussion, clinical, lecture, demonstration, and simulation.
