In this role, you will support our dentist by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and help keep a clean enviroment . You will create a welcoming environment for patients, most of whom are older and very nervous at the dentist. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient procedures. Assist dentist during a variety of dental treatments including X-ray imaging, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and minimal lab work. See patients for denture and partial denture adjustments and try-ins Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, dental x-ray machines, and other clinical tools while adhering to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately using patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies. Support patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and addressing patient questions with professionalism. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments according to sterilization procedures and infection control standards. Ensure all medical records are up-to-date in compliance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology related to oral health. Skilled in dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety protocols; certification in dental x-ray is preferred. Strong understanding of clinical confidentiality policies (HIPAA compliance) and medical documentation standards. Excellent communication skills for patient management and team collaboration. Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of patient care.

Pay:

$15.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 45.0 per week
