Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient care Take digital dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection prevention management protocols Manage patient records using Open Dental. Document medical history, vital signs, and treatment details accurately Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing wellness Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and infection control standards in line with healthcare regulations Qualifications Valid registration as a Dental Assistant (RDA) with current state licensure or certification required along with valid CPR. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry or specialty practice, including pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Open Dental for medical documentation and records management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental instruments, equipment operation, and sterilization procedures Skilled in taking dental X-rays (including dental x-ray techniques), CBCT, and utilizing a 3D scanner when necessary Familiarity with infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures Ability to perform vital signs measurement and assist with oral surgery procedures confidently Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical coding practices related to dental procedures Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a tangible difference!
