Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic back office team! Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while ensuring adherence to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients as needed, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times. Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical history, and providing excellent patient care throughout their visit. Maintain dental equipment functionality, including dental x-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and other clinical tools; assist with dental instrument processing for sterilization. Follow infection control standards rigorously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental care. Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and dental sterilization procedures required. Ability to perform 4 handed chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care and communication skills.
