Duties Assist dentists and hygienists during various procedures including cleanings, examinations, and restorative treatments with four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to safety standards and radiation protocols. Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization procedures and infection prevention protocols in line with OSHA guidelines. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing dental health. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical imaging, and taking vital signs. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties. Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and X-ray machines safely and effectively. Understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics; capable of explaining procedures clearly. Knowledge of medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance and medical coding for accurate record keeping. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment supporting general dentistry practices while maintaining attention to detail. Join us in delivering outstanding dental care!
