Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the clinical team, ensuring efficient patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of dental practice, fostering a collaborative team environment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized. Take dental radiographs. Document patient information accurately in the medical records system. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering. familiar with intraoral scanners (Itero) Skills Supervise and mentor dental assistants, providing guidance and feedback to enhance performance. Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow. Proficient in dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Knowledge of medical terminology to understand patient health records. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for accurate diagnostics. Ability to maintain detailed medical documentation for patient records. Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software. Strong skills in dental assisting, including chairside assistance techniques. Competence in taking vital signs to monitor patient health during visits. Experience with 3D scanners for creating digital impressions is advantageous. Capable of performing receptionist duties, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.
