We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and dependable Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic, fast-paced pediatric and orthodontic office. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a passion for working with children, and the ability to make young patients feel at ease during their visits. This full-time position provides a wonderful opportunity to work in a collaborative, fun environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort of pediatric patients and creating a welcoming, positive atmosphere. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information for the dentist's review. Educate patients and their families about oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care in a friendly and easy-to-understand manner. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with office systems and HIPAA regulations. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control procedures. Bring a cheerful and approachable attitude, especially when interacting with children, to make dental visits as stress-free as possible. Qualifications Previous dental experience is preferred. X-ray certification is a plus. Keyboarding and computer skills to maintain patient records and assist with various office tasks. Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and medical imaging techniques. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage children and their families in a warm, relatable way. Must be reliable, showing up on time and ready to work in a team-oriented environment. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus. A bubbly personality, patience, and the ability to make children feel comfortable in a dental setting are a must. Why Join Us?
