Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! In this role, you will support dentists during clinical procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in general dentistry and specialized areas such as pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and prosthodontics. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient appointments. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including dental x-ray procedures and 3D scans, adhering strictly to infection prevention management protocols. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing questions to foster trust and comfort. Maintain clinical cleanliness by following dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent infection spread. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient management software. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and medical documentation practices. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and infection control standards. Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with medical records management is highly desirable. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines; certification in dental x-ray is preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention protocols including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with general medical terminology to support accurate documentation and communication. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists while providing outstanding patient care. Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
