Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, and provide compassionate assistance to patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental procedures, sterilization, and patient management will contribute to creating a positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment dedicated to oral health excellence. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety guidelines Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment sessions Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as needed for comprehensive patient assessments Support front desk operations by coordinating appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist when necessary Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with dental equipment operation such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and digital scanners including 3D scanners Familiarity with infection control standards, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention protocols Ability to operate dental practice management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft efficiently for scheduling and record keeping Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices when working with children or special needs patients Join us in creating healthier smiles!
