Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team! The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, teens, and adults and is comfortable working in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures.
  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms and instruments.
  • Take and develop/process dental X-rays as permitted by applicable regulations.
  • Assist with orthodontic procedures, including bonding, adjustments, wire changes, impressions/scans, and retainer delivery.
  • Take intraoral photographs and digital scans.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions regarding orthodontic appliances and oral hygiene.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas according to OSHA and office protocols.
  • Help with patient flow and keep appointments running efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally and warmly with patients and parents.
  • Assist with inventory, stocking, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical area.
  • Follow all infection-control, safety, and office policies Qualifications.
  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred; orthodontic experience is a plus.
  • Dental assisting certification/credentials as required by state regulations.
  • X-ray certification/permit as required by state regulations.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Comfortable working with children and families.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy office.
