Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes Provide exceptional patient care by managing patient management software, explaining procedures clearly, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy Maintain clinical confidentiality policies at all times while supporting infection control protocols including aseptic technique and dental instrument processing to prevent cross-contamination Support the dental team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical documentation efficiently Skills Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate record keeping and patient management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures to assist effectively during treatments Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilizers, and other clinical tools Expertise in infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control practices Ability to perform chairside assisting with competence in four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow Familiarity with oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and medical imaging techniques Excellent communication skills to coordinate with patients and team members while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
