Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality
- Familiar with the ADA procedure codes.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix.
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Understanding of medical terminology and dental anatomy
Skills:
- Patient assessment: Ability to assess patient needs and comfort levels during dental procedures
Pediatrics:
Experience working with pediatric patients in a dental setting- Dental receptionist: Proficiency in managing appointment schedules, answering phone calls, and handling patient inquiries
HIPAA:
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality- Familiarity with dental software systems for appointment scheduling, billing, and record keeping
- Dental assisting: Proficient in assisting the dentist during various procedures, including chairside assistance and instrument sterilization
- Medical terminology: Understanding of common medical terms used in a dental practice setting
- Anatomy knowledge: Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral structures We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
