Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
  • Take dental x-rays
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality
  • Familiar with the ADA procedure codes.
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix.
  • Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
  • Understanding of medical terminology and dental anatomy
Skills:
  • Patient assessment: Ability to assess patient needs and comfort levels during dental procedures
  • Pediatrics:
    Experience working with pediatric patients in a dental setting
  • Dental receptionist: Proficiency in managing appointment schedules, answering phone calls, and handling patient inquiries
  • HIPAA:
    Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Familiarity with dental software systems for appointment scheduling, billing, and record keeping
  • Dental assisting: Proficient in assisting the dentist during various procedures, including chairside assistance and instrument sterilization
  • Medical terminology: Understanding of common medical terms used in a dental practice setting
  • Anatomy knowledge: Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral structures We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
