Duties:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
• Update and maintain patient medical records and documentation
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Perform dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring and trimming models

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficiency in using dental software, such as CAD or Epic, for medical coding and documentation purposes
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus
